DENVER, CO, July 30 — While most companies focus on the “almighty dollar,” a group of environmentally conscious businesses are coming together to make the world a greener place. The Green Merchant Alliance is composed of businesses, like Trade Show Emporium, who fund clean energy initiatives. Trade Show Emporium, an eco-friendly, Colorado-based company, is one of the alliance’s newest members.

By joining GMA, Trade Show Emporium unites with a consortium of businesses dedicated to reducing their environmental footprint by supporting renewable energy, public education, and environmental conservation. The Green Merchant Alliance donates a portion of the profits from Trade Show Emporium’s sales toward the purchase of Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). The money from the RECs directly funds clean energy projects. Then the RECs are “retired” –meaning they can no longer be traded or sold.

“It is important to our company to support clean energy development,” says Trade Show Emporium President, Willis Wood, Jr. “Trade Show Emporium and its employees are extremely environmentally conscientious. We saw joining the Green Merchant Alliance as a way to strengthen our commitment to the Earth.”

The renewable energy generated by the Green Merchant Alliance displaces other conventional electricity generation, such as coal, oil, nuclear, or natural gas. For every kilowatt-hour of renewable electricity or renewable certificates bought by members of the Green Merchant Alliance, there is one less kilowatt-hour of conventional electricity generation.

Trade Show Emporium is based out of Denver, Colorado. Its mission is to provide honest, friendly consulting services to those in need of trade show exhibits, graphics, and accessories. Trade Show Emporium is one of the top vendors for displays produced from environmentally friendly, renewable materials. To contact Trade Show Emporium
